Die optischen SFP-Transceiver von Perle sind im stromführenden Zustand umsteckbare, kompakte Medienkonnektoren, die eine sofortige Glasfaseranbindung für Ihr Vernetzungsequipment bieten. Sie sind eine kostengünstige Methode zur Verbindung eines einzelnen Netzwerkgerätes mit einer großen Vielzahl von Glasfaserkabellängen und -arten.
Da keine überzähligen Einheiten/Geräte der verschiedenen Glasfasertypen für Netzwerkreparaturen oder Upgrades mehr zu warten sind, verringern steckbare optische Small Form-Transceiver den Bestand an Netzwerkequipment. SFPs bieten einem Produkt die Flexibilität einer Expansion, was die Geschwindigkeit (Fast Ethernet und 1, 10 oder 40 Gigabit), und/oder die Länge (220m bis 80km) anbelangt.
Auch Netzwerk-Upgrades werden vereinfacht, da SFPs austauschbare Glasfaserkonnektoren sind, die sich in jedes bestehende Netzwerk einbinden lassen. Beispiel: Durch den einfachen Austausch des steckbaren optischen Transceivers kann ein Medienkonverter, der ursprünglich in einem Multimode-Netzwerk eingesetzt wurde, so neu konfiguriert werden, dass er über ein CWDM-Netzwerk betrieben werden kann.
Die optischen SFP-Transceiver von Perle können mit einer Vielzahl von Cisco- oder MSA-kompatiblen SFP-Produkten verwendet werden. Sie können auf einer Port-für-Port-Basis in Kombinationen von 1000BASE-SX, 1000BASE-LX/LH, 1000BASE-EX, 1000BASE-ZX oder 1000BASE-BX10-D/U gemischt werden.
Die optischen SFP-Transceiver von Perle sind für die Verwendung mit Perle SFP-Medienkonvertern, Industriellen Ethernet Switches, IOLAN SCG Console Server und Drittanbieter-Equipment, welches SFP-Transceiver unterstützen, konzipiert. Wählen Sie die entsprechende Registerkarte aus, um sich die Duplex-, Simplex (BiDi)-, CWDM-, 10G SFP+ oder XFP-Modelle.

The majority of installations for single mode fiber media converters are of the “dual connector” or “dual fiber” type where one fiber connection is used for transmit, the other for receive. These are physically “crossed” to match up the Transmit/Receive links. However, to reduce costs, or where there are limits on available fiber, WDM technology may be utilized. WDM uses separate transmit and receive frequencies to communicate on a single fiber strand. WDM technology relies on the fact that optical fibers can carry many wavelengths of light simultaneously without interaction between each wavelength. Thus, a single fiber can carry many separate wavelength signals or channels simultaneously. So remember, if Single Strand fiber is used, you will need an “Up” Media Converter on one side and a “Down” Media Converter on the other for copper to fiber conversion.
